Brisbane’s Sunbleached Release New Single “Toyfriend”

Brisbane always offers up great local talent, which of course includes alt-rock band Sunbleached who are about to unleash some mayhem as they support bands Deadlights, and Mirrors on the Brisbane leg of The Ego’s Valley tour which is next week. So if you’re dying for new music, I cannot recommend this band enough as they welcome a brand new single into the world titled “Toyfriend”. Filled with dreamy accents, and shoegaze undertones, this new track will take you to another world with its unique soundscape. Vocalist Josh Baker reveals “Toyfriend describes the feeling of putting trust and loyalty into friends who don’t reciprocate those same values. It's ultimately about being stuck in a one sided friendship and feeling abandoned when things aren’t going great, or when they inevitably lose interest.”

As the shoegaze guitar chords sink in, the melancholy tones are in full swing even before the vocals come into play. Taking on pop-emo elements with the rhythm in the chorus’, the dreamy haze sweeps underneath making for a truly emotion filled track that makes you feel something. The four-piece all work together to create such an impeccable sound that literally is undoubtedly some of the best alt-rock to come out of the Brisbane scene. Leading the outro is the guitar in full force strumming down on powerful chords as it leads the track to a close, finishing it off perfectly.
The track is available everywhere to stream, so go now!
