Teenage Joans - 1st October 2022 - Crowbar, Sydney

Saturday, the first night of October saw Adelaide sweethearts Teenage Joans play a sold out show at Crowbar, Sydney as part of their 14 date “Big Kid” tour. Bringing along with them Bec Stevens and Cry Club - the energy was ecstatic to say the least and everyone was set in for a great night.

Bec Stevens and her band kicked off the night with a thirty minute set of tracks that hit you deep in the feel.. The artist played through some raw, and emotional songs that you could see really hit home for her through her facial expressions as she connected with the crowd at the front. It was a mesmerising performance and a great set overall.

Cry Club is exciting, powerful, and pure entertaining. They played a catalogue of stellar tracks that had the crowd jumping around and absolutely captivated by their incredible stage presence. Thirty minutes wasnt enough for this band - they were just so entertaining and had the crowd really pumped the whole set.

Teenage Joans came running onto the stage as Blink-182’s “What's My Age Again” played and as they jumped around on stage, the crowd cheered loud before the song stopped and the band kicked off their set. With only 7 songs on their set list and an hour to kill, the band surprised fans by playing some tracks no one had heard of which was obviously well received. Teenage Joans are so fun to watch - they have this charm and killer stage presence that truly have your eyes glued to them as you vibe hard to their catchy songs. A lot of jumping around the stage and loud cheers from the crowd saw an incredible end to the night.
Teenage Joans prove time and time again that they are one of the best bands to watch live in the music scene at the moment.
