WAAX - 7th October 2022 - Metro Theatre, Sydney

WAAX took to the Metro Theatre on Friday the 7th of October as part of their “At Least I’m Free” Tour celebrating the release of their second album which was given to the hands of the public back in August. Bringing along with them talented artist Bronte Alva and punk rock legends Private Function. With the crowd ever growing by the minute, you could tell that the night was going to be good.

Private Function are just a force to be reckoned with - the power, and the chaotic energy that they bring to the stage is just so fun to watch. There was thrashing, jumping, spitting beer, swinging the mic around all while the crowd were becoming hyped up and loving every moment of it.
The moment that WAAX walked out onto stage, the room erupted with excited screams and huge smiles were exchanged from the front of the crowd as the band got ready to kick start their set. There is never a dull moment when WAAX play a live show because every member puts their all into the set and makes it entertaining for everyone.
The crowd sang their hearts out to every single song and they easily finished the lyrics when vocalist Maz held the mic up in the air in the middle of “Labrador” while everyone jumped up and down to the incredible soundscape that echoed out throughout the venue.
It was an incredible experience - they are truly one of the best bands in Australia!
