Wollongong’s Drift Share Shoegaze Infused Single ‘Begin’

Wollongong alt-rock band Drift have just released a brand new single in time for their hometime headline show on June 3rd titled ‘Begin’ which highlights a plethora of guitar elements that brings a dreamy shoegaze sound to the intro and throughout the chorus which create this nostalgic sound that has My Bloody Valentine influence imbedded into the roots of the single, and with enticing vocals and the steady crash of the drums ‘begin’ is a bloody good track from Drift that will be going straight onto the ‘on repeat’ playlist for us.

Vocalist Callum McCombie explains, "Begin was written from the depths of that feeling of wanting to hold onto something or someone you love so much that it becomes a detriment. Begin is trying to start again. A new beginning was the end of this period for me, and was a great step towards improving myself and the situation.”

Drift will be headlining a show at Seeker Brewing in Unanderra come June 3rd to celebrate this incredible release. The show will be supported by Busted Head Racket and Pictures With Yuki. You won’t want to miss out on these guys performing ‘Begin’ to a live crowd so grab some friends and get tickets before they sell out and witness a night full of entertaining, great bands.
