ST.SINNNER DELIVERS CHAOTIC NEW SINGLE ‘HEADCASE’

‘HEADCASE’ is the new single from Canberra-based emo-metalcore band st.sinner which was produced by Daniel Antix (Pist Idiots, The Dead Love, RADICALS) and co-written with Timothy Wisbey (Clay J Gladstone).

Kicking off straight away with electronic tones underneath the potent vocals before escalating  into a hefty chorus that features heavy hitting drums, strong slashing of guitar chords, and layers of vocals, all gripping at you and taking you hold with its insane hook.

st.sinner talks about the meaning behind 'HEADCASE':

"'HEADCASE' is about coming to terms with negative, intrusive thoughts - it's the personification of those who see themselves as 'the monster'. It came about after I had a pretty whack experience while staring at myself in the mirror. I was mentally in a pretty dark place - my reflection was doing all sorts of weird stuff, which drove me to write about it. I had to gain ownership over 'the monster' to gain comfort and have this experience sit with me properly."

To accompany the release is the cinematic music video – shot and edited by Guy Vears (RedHook, Harroway) and written by Caleb Jonas. Playing on the track's lyrical themes, the clip sees the back and forth between Rory and his masked "monster" side, using eye-grabbing visual effects and unsettling set pieces. Rory explains, "We had a lot of fun setting the camera up on rigs and ladder rungs and used a lot of jump cuts in the editing to give it a chaotic look."

To coincide with the release, st.sinner will be touring across the East Coast of Australia, with shows at Eora/Sydney's The Burdekin Hotel, Meanjin/Brisbane's The Brightside and Ngunnawal/Canberra's The Shaking Hand. This continues on from a slew of sold-out headline shows across Ngunnawal/Canberra and sharing stages with the likes of Hands Like Houses, The Last Martyr, Belle Haven, Banks Arcade, Ocean Sleeper and Inertia.
