Indie-Pop Outfit 90ivy Share Perfect New Single ‘Public Displays Of Deflection’

Sydney bands are sure as hell coming through lately with the amount of incredible releases and another one we want to share with you is indie-rock band 90ivy who, just last week dropped an insane single ‘Public Displays Of Deflection’ which is the first taste of their forthcoming 3rd EP due to be released later this year. Sharing with us a glimpse of their evolving musical direction. 

“[This release] marks an important shift in 90ivy’s musical direction - we’re becoming more comfortable with leveraging experimental sounds and rhythms, going outside the usual checkpoints for our genre and staying true to each of our own musical influences. Experimental sounds and rhythms are on full display in ‘Public Displays of Deflection’, breaking free from any genre conventions while staying true to the band's music influences. Swaying melodies invite you in while the sweet vocals keep you under a trance and will have you hitting the repeat button on this incredible track. Delving into the complexities of relationships, the track features witty lyrics that are super catchy while also creating a sonic experience that resonates deeply.

90ivy’s have found quite a presence in the live scene having shred the stage with artists like  Daily J (NZ), Dulcie, Micra, Great Gable, CLEWS, Yorke, Jess Day, and Teenage Dads, whilst having their festival debut at Mountain Goat Valley Crawl this year.
