Hayden Calnin Releases Stunning New Single ‘We Lost Sight Of The Shoreline’

Stunning new single ‘We Lost Sight Of The Shoreline’ by Melbourne singer-songwriter Hayden Calnin is a track that you certainly do not want to miss out on. It’s something that was written at the beginning of last year, in the wake of a breakup, Hayden fled Melbourne for a hideaway in Rye and got to work creating both his March EP A Turning Of The Tide: Side A and its forthcoming second part A Turning Of The Tide: Side B (due out Friday 15 September).

Keeping the meaning behind this track for himself – Hayden’s leaving “We Lost Sight Of The Shoreline” for listeners to bring their own stories and experiences to. Of the track, Hayden simply shares, "The ship in the lyrics is one big metaphor for your own interpretation, choose your own adventure."

The artist's haunting vocals truly carry this tune above the soft notes of guitar melodies that piece together a gorgeous soundscape that does well to tell a story. The track then drifts off slowly before ascending into a bridge that feels euphoric, bringing the track to an end.

Starting on Friday, Hayden will connect with Hazlett and Paige Valentinefor an east coast tour – taking over stages in the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong, and Melbourne - so make sure you don’t miss out on that.
