Down And Out Release Rebellious New Track ‘Paper Skin’

Adelaide based pop-punk band Down And Out are bringing some serious noise after releasing their rebellious single ‘Paper Skin’ - produced and mixed by Stevie Knight (Stand Atlantic, Yours Truly, RedHook) and mastered by Grant Berry of Fader Mastering.

"The song is about being in a situationship that falls apart due to a lack of clear communication and intentions. It's easy for things to become messy quickly in a situation like that unless everybody is on the same page, and this situation became messy pretty quickly. Unfortunately, if nobody has the insight or guts to call it off early enough it can devolve into an unstable and toxic dynamic, which is exactly what happened." Down And Out explain.

Listeners are met with confronting vocals from vocalist Luke Ganeo as the gripling soundscape underlies the synth leads and the unique guitar that tumbles across the track. Along with the release, an accompanying video was given to the world that was filmed, directed and edited by Colin Jeffs and shot at Mobile Barber Shop Depot and Hijinx Hotel in Brisbane, bringing a visually satisfying performance that portrays the single to a T.

‘Paperskin’ is available to stream everywhere.
