Vera Blue - 18th December 2022 - Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Closing out the year for us at Electric Dreams Media - The last gig of 2022 was the queen herself, Vera Blue at the Enmore Theatre, Sydney. Bringing with her talented artists Beks, and Becca Hatch for a great night of music.
Beks started off the night with a high energy set filled with some of her best work to date. “Young Forever” was a highlight track, filled with a catchy soundscape, and a lot of movement on stage by back up dancers which was amazing to finally see live. Beks is a true performer, she brings so much talent, energy, and puts on a really fun set that everyone was really vibing with and cheering out in excitement during songs.
Becca Hatch brought a whole lot of groove with her to the Enmore with some great tracks. The artists #1 rule during her set was that everyone had to be moving, no stiff bodies - which in her case wasn’t hard to achieve as her music was heavily infectious and saw the whole room dancing around to that smooth bass underneath her pristine vocals. Showcasing all of her talent through live performance was very easy, engaging with the audience and moving around on stage as the venue became a wave of moving bodies to the beat. Someone in the audience gave her flowers which brought the biggest smile to her face which made her night, as she made ours.
What else can you say about Vera Blue other than she is pure perfection. How can someone be so stunning, so captivating, and have the voice of an angel? No exaggeration. When she walked out on the stage wearing a pink flowing dress, with the biggest smile on her face, the crowd let out screams of excitement as she started her set, while spinning around and catching the eyes of her fans. Performing some new songs from her recent album Mercurial while also playing some older stuff, fans loved every second of the show which you could tell from the happy energy in the room as the low lights flicked from colour to colour while Vera Blue performed her heart out. It truly was the perfect Saturday night that featured some terrific performances by these incredible artists.
