Missed Flights In Melbourne

First one that comes to mind would be when we missed our flight to Hobart for Day On The Lawn festival in April this year! We had a sold out show in Melbourne at Northcote Social the night before and it was a pretty big one so we didn't get back to our hotel until early hours in the morning. Slept in massively, we woke up with about 5 mins until our flight! Luckily, there was 1 other flight that arrived just before we played. So we did some quick talking and rearranged the flights, hopped on the new one, arrived in Hobart with about an hour before we had to jump on stage. We only just made the gig, no soundcheck, but it was one of the best gigs we’ve done so far! Cheers Tazzie! Unfortunately no photos from this show but here’s a rowdy Melbs the night before.

Meeting Icons At Falls

We were lucky enough to share the backstage green room with legends The Wiggles when we played at Falls Festival! Was such a spin out meeting such huge Aussie icons.

Putting Holes In Kick Drums

Back in 2021, we played a hometown Perth show at Jack Rabbit Slims. Was one of our first sold out shows and we were buzzing. Few beverages, everyone was ready to go. But Nathan after about 3 songs put a hole straight through the kick drum! He then played half the set without kick and used a combo of the floor Tom and praying to God. Got it done though and was a great gig! Here’s the aftermath the day later.

Homeless Band in the Goldy

We played Rolling Sets Festival in Central Coast, NSW in Dec last year. Was a sick festival, we were on pretty early so plenty of time for an unwind and some brews. We had a show on the next night in Gold Coast which is an eight hour drive north, and we hadn’t organised accommodation after Rolling Sets. So we decided to just pull and all nighter and send it up to Gold Coast after we finished at the festival. What we didn’t realise is when we would rock up in Gold Coast it would be around about 10am and we didn’t check into the accommodation until 2pm. We were hungover, on practically no sleep, so we set up camp in the local park outside our accom for about five hours and got some much needed shut eye. It was just as much fun as it sounded.

Here’s a shot from Rolling Sets!

More to Come…

Last one is just all the sick times we’ve had over on the East Coast. As a WA band heading over there a few times a year, it’s such a spin out hearing your songs sung at you, seeing people turn up to the gigs. Means the world to us and hopefully can keep happening in the future. Love yas <3
