Pretty In Pink Share Last Single ‘Pale Blue’ With Accompanying Video Ahead Of Sophomore Album ‘Pillows’

Pretty In Pink is back with another fantastic single ‘Pale Blue’ from their upcoming  sophomore album ‘Pillows’, which is due out September 1st on Subjangle, Hidden Bay and Little Lunch Records. Following up from previous singles ‘Pressure Socks’ released in June, and ‘Star’ which dropped last month, ‘Pale Blue’ serves as the last little taste that listeners get before we get the full serving of Pretty In Pink goodness.

The band shared about the single - “Solastalgia: emotional or existential distress caused by environmental change aka climate change. Nostalgia: a sentimental longing and affection for the past. Pale blue is about both.”

The slow, bittersweet guitar strums lead the way, bringing forth a strong feeling of nostalgia straight away. The haunting vocals from Claire McCarthy echo over the top of the guitar and distinguished bass notes, pulling the track together and fully creating a great sound that is reminiscent of bands like Sleater Kinney but definitely keeping those unique Pretty In Pink tones, which we love so hard. The rawness from the vocals help to really give the track a lot of depth and effectiveness.
‘Pale Blue’ is Pretty In Pink at it’s finest and with it being the last release before the band drops their album ‘Pillows’, it only brings more excitement for what's to come.

Along with the single comes the accompanying music video which encapsulates the feelings around the track perfectly. You can view the video below.

Pretty In Pink are such a pleasure to watch grow with every release, and ‘Pale Blue’ showcases growth, and uniqueness within the band. Listen to the new track now and don’t forget to pre-order ‘Pillows’ here.
