Congrats on the release of the new single “Nowhere”! What does the track mean to you and where did you draw the inspiration from when writing it?

Our single “Nowhere” is the first track in our upcoming EP “I Do Everything Around The House” its a song with themes about procrastinating (something I did when trying to write the song which ironically sparked my motivation). We took a lot of inspiration from Clairo and Freak Slug with the production of this song, however we always end up putting our own Little Guilt twist on it. - Ella

Favourite lyrics from the track and why?

“Time has never been a friend for me” This line kinda makes me laugh because although I hate to admit it, i’m pretty bad with my time management, so this line usually speaks to me. Especially if the song comes on when I'm running late driving to work or I’m procrastinating and not getting something done. - Ella

How exciting that your debut EP “I Do Everything Around the House” is going to drop in a few weeks?! What are you guys feeling and what response do you hope for?

I think we're all a little bit nervous but mostly excited for the release of this EP because we have put so much of our blood, sweat and tears into it and can't wait to share it with the world. I think we really discovered our unique sound when creating this and are hoping it is received well and people like it for what it is. - Joe

Favourite track from the EP?

We like all of the tracks for different reasons. I think personally I like “Tasty Lies” the most because it’s the most different to all of our other songs. “On My Mind (all the time)” is also another favorite of mine because it’s so catchy and I like that it has both Mop and I’s vocals because it's something we've never experimented with before. - Ella

What was the creative process like?

I have this funny way of looking at the creative process. I like to compare creating a song to archeology, we are simply chipping away at the surface until we discover the bare bones of the track, only then we can go about figuring out what it is. Every song in this EP varied drastically and Dylan from Soak Sounds did a really good job at steering us in the right direction. - Joe

What are you most looking forward to about your launch shows?

There's nothing more heart-warming than seeing close family and friends gathered in a space to see you perform. Having such a supportive social circle is something we are blessed to have and we are extremely excited to see all those faces in front of us as we play something we have been working so hard on for so long. - Joe

Where do you hope to see the band in 5 years time? What are your long-term goals?

We would all love for this band to lead somewhere because music is our passion and we’re all such good friends. What could possibly be better than doing what you love with the people you love. - Joe
